Matthew Minter joined the Netherlands Radio Choir in February 2010.
British tenor Matthew Minter was educated at The Windsor Boys’ School and then studied singing at The Royal Northern College of Music.
As a soloist Matthew has sung at a number of prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, and Queen Elizabeth Hall in Britain and The Lincoln Center in New York. He is a regular soloist with many of Britain’s leading orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the English Symphony Orchestra. He has worked under the direction of such distinguished conductors as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Sir David Willcocks and Pierre Boulez. Matthew has made numerous recordings and broadcasts for the BBC, notably singing live for a Christmas Day broadcast on BBC1.
In 1993 Matthew Minter became a founder member of the BBC Daily Service Singers and has since been established as their principal tenor. He sings regularly with The BBC Singers, London Voices and The Sixteen. In 2008 Matthew founded Premier Singers and has provided the choir for Karl Jenkins ‘Stabat Mater’ UK tour.
Recent highlights include singing for the Duchess of York, and appearing as one of three operatic tenors being driven by Michael Schumacher as part of a drink drive awareness advert.
